Yeah,this gap before the table is something I face in many comms too so I usually just use the backspace button & erase the extra space over the table.

I really like your Ye Zun (that color just suits him! :D) and the Full Body one (what a great texture! and the coloring looks very painty, too. <3) Nocturne is awesomely artsy, and Unidentified as well.

As for the html:
tables usually look better when you surround them with raw tags. Like this, just without the spaces before and after the < and > .
