Round 30: Information & Sign-ups

Welcome to Round 30! Since every 5th round is a special round, the rules are slightly different for this round.
Voting will be for best icons in each set and best sets. This challenge will run for 30 days.

This round the theme is all about various travel destinations.Under the cut you will find 10 different places that you can use as inspiration. You CAN use other countries/places that are not mentioned here in the inspo post (eg. Egypt, Ireland, Tuscany etc.) You can make 10 icons using one country/place as inspiration or mix and match. You may use the colours of the flag, traditions, cultures, movies or celebs from the country of inspiration-really; anything that captures the essence of the country of your choice.

Probably a dumb question. But how many icons do you do for this? And does it have to be one theme or can you pick different ones for each or a couple? Sorry, still new to this comm and figuring things out.

Hello. For this round your icons must represent a country or city using colours,stock images, character or any other way. You can choose to make icons for one country,2 country or as many different ones as you like.The total number of icons are going to be 10 icons.
You can also make icons showing other countries that are not shown in the inspo post.

Okay i need to withdraw.

I wanted to make icons inspired by colors of different flags, but it turns out that this is much more political than I'm comfortable with (i.e. putting Chinese actors together with flags of other countries). It might work if I don't draw attention to it, but that's not going to happen if I post them within this challenge... oops. So I can't do that.

Then I tried coming up with other things to be inspired by, but somehow it all felt wrong, so I'm stuck now.

I'm sorry. It's a really nice challenge, I just can't get away from my need to icon Zhu Yilong all the time. *sigh*
